Learn about and Build A Superhet IC Based AM/FM Radio Receiver. This Superhet 108 AM/FM Radio Kit is a superheterodyne receiver of the standard AM (amplitude modulation) and FM (frequency modulation) broadcast frequencies. The unique design of the Superhet 108 includes an integrated circuit (IC), 9 transistors, 4 diodes, and other related resistors, capacitors, coils, and misc. parts. Because good soldering practices are important, a soldering guide is also provided as well as a component color code and pictorial identification chart.The actual assembly is broken down into 9 sections. The theory of operation for each section, or stage, should be read before the assembly is started. This will provide the student with an understanding of what that stage has been designed to accomplish, and how it actually works. Mitsubishi DA-R20 & Sansui 5000x stereo receiver

though nice receivers they both have problems. The mitsubishi I took in twice to get repaired when I got the unit used. So I'm not happy. Though they fixed the issues. THey never teched the unit out okay. Have loose / broken solder for the R/L Selector knob, One channel didn't work. They find dirty contacts for that. Now both channels work. They did clean all the buttons and one switch was assumed broken but just dirty. However, the receiver sound turns off when you turn the volume up loud and they speakers sound like they are blown. When you turn the volume back down. IT comes back on. The Sansui works great execpt for know lights on the front except phono2 and aux. I found two blown out fuses in the front panel. I replaced thoughs but they went right back out. Are those lights? Anyway. I heard great things about the sansui. Sound great just no lights

A quick demo I made after I had installed my new stereo in my car. It is a Sony DSX-S100. My camera is kind of sux at night, so everything is quite blurry but it is a very crisp looking unit. In retrospect though billy talent was not a great choice as when I scrolled through it normally it would show all the albums but they are all the same except for the end which might make it a tad hard to understand but idk.
